This was an assignment I received from the father. This portrait of his son was a Christmas present for his wife. I enjoyed the challenge because it was the first time I painted a child.

  Indonesian comfort girl, forgotten victim 2nd World War, multiple rape and abuse at first, innocent mother child, youth and self-esteem stolen, Japanese deceit, her eyes speak for themselves, never loved!

Portrait of an elephant

First I made a study of the character of an elephant and then chose the colours which match his personality. Loved painting this elephant in acrylic (many layers) with bright, pastel en dark colours and tiny to large surfaces to give it contrast and make it interesting.
